St. Even

the divine reflections series began in 2005 as an artistic offering to our community, reflecting the beauty and divinity that we each carry within. it has since grown into a practice that i can only call spiritual; each piece is a prayer of gratitude for the wonder and magick that abounds in my life. i'm honoured to be able to share these visions at emerge'n'see and hope that the love with which they were created radiates out into the festival and beyond

Andrew Jones

Andrew Jones has been heralded as "the apocalyptic art shaman." His work is a hybrid of academic training, emerging technology and the mystical experience, bringing together a mixture of archetypical mythology and spirituality.he is a leader in the digital fine art community, and works closely with the developers of emerging digital technology to create software that gives artists new tools to create their dreams. A master of the digital art medium, Andrew continues to push the limits of what's possible with the manipulation of light and energy and is on the front line of "innovention" as he creates masterpieces live, onstage, before our eyes.

Shrine

Shrine has been an "employed" artist for over twenty years. His paintings and found object/trash sculptures have been featured at numerous galleries and events, and his guerrilla murals dot the Los Angeles cityscape, with other pieces in Edinburgh, London, and Portugal, to name a few spots. He has collaborated, both as a visual artist and performer, with Lucent Dossier and the Do Lab in many of their performances (including the flower and flytrap performance at last year's Uchronia burn), Vau de Vire Society, and the national and world tours of Panic at the Disco! and Warp Tour. He lives at his home in Pasadena, which is in itself a testament to his love for making beautiful art from trash—although it probably does nothing for his neighbors' property value. He will be collaborating with Tuktuk, our head of DPW, on the design of this year's main stage, Angkor Wattz.

DAVID GELFAND Metal and Glass Sculpture

I thrive on constantly breaking down perceived limitations to expand my artistic capabilities. The techniques used to integrate glass and metal in my illuminated sculpture work unites fragile and solid. It is inspired alchemy through which I uniquely express the ritual aspects of fire.

Rhett Bice

Video artist and VJ Rhett Bice mixes found video with original content to arrive at a unique style of live visual mixes. You can expect lots of abstract color and glitchy motion since Rhett likes to go heavy on the effects pushing the images to the most abstract level his laptop will handle. He likes to flirt with the audience allowing occasional insights to the original images being manipulated and allowing recognizable forms to move in and out of rich textures.

Gabriel Shaughnessy

Gabe's imagination spills, making a mess everywhere. Sometimes the stains it leaves resemble intricate, bustling cities, other times organic, undulating forms. Everyday experience and awareness provide ample sloshing to create a steady stream of creations, but turn up the bass and drop the beat and Gabe's imagination pours out all over the floor.

Arun

Arun was summoned into being by Joseph Clint Ragan, a small boy from Alabama who wished to create an amusing homonculous.  This desire, to find ways to imbue his creations with Life was the common theme guiding his many larval stages.  The numenous grace of Egyptian and Tantric iconography were feasted upon and provided the psychic nutrients needed by a growing lad.  After a series of adventures with various cults and cabals, Arun arrived at a clue as to his True Will...to develop a pantheon of images that will invoke the Selves beneath and beyond the human disguise that we all wear.  It is his delight that these fabric talismans may join with the sacred art of the emerging circle of beloved visionaries in creating the temples of dance and celebration that we all share.

Michael Taluk + Sass Town

Michael Taluk has been creating large-scale structural installation art for decades, including numerous installations at Burningman, commissions by Coachella, and recently the City of Portland. Michael and the Sasstown crew are always easy to find with their work "platform": a signature 1952 Ford firetruck. They are proud to present The Curmudgeon: The glory of the triangle is celebrated in the engineering and aesthetics of this steel and paper mobile. Providing shade during the day and a light collage at night, the curmudgeon will create a calm space for community to coagulate and incubate amidst the turbidity of the festival.
